Our mission at Fonemi Academy/“Academia Fonemi”

To transform the life of every child through a specialized, intensive and individualized program with the focus on the development of auditory processing skills, speech and language.

We have incorporated into a cutting edge program the cognitive, educational, communication, social and emotional skills to develop in each preschool child what they need to be able to integrate into society and succeed in school.

Specialized Programs:

Groups of 2-4 children seen by a speech therapist and a teacher, supervised by a speech-language pathologist.

The curriculum includes:

  1. Tomatis® auditory therapy
  2. Specialized therapy for childhood apraxia of speech
  3. Oral Motor therapy
  4. Language and Speech therapy (comprehension, expression)
  5. Readiness for reading development
  6. Basic educational skills necessary for success in Kindergarten

The goal of the program is the development of intelligible speech, appropriate language and educational skills essential for their age.

The curriculum includes:

  1. Tomatis® auditory therapy
  2. Specialized therapy for childhood apraxia of speech
  3. Oral Motor therapy
  4. Auditory sensory diet therapy
  5. Language and Speech therapy (comprehension, expression)
  6. Basic Educational Skills

Its benefits:

  • Children develop sounds and begin to use them in combinations of simple to complex wording, allowing them to start talking more clearly.
  • Parents are part of the therapy team for the child to generalize what they have learned at home.

Model one to one, intensive and individualized approach aiming to develop the skills that enable the child to attain, understand, learn and communicate effectively.

  • Development of social skills through the DIR model Floortime®
  • Development of linguistic precursors
  • Development of auditory processing by auditory therapy
  • Training for parents with “More than Words” Hanen® program
